Guam - divers heaven

A territory of the USA, Guam is an island in the western South Pacific Ocean, being the largest and southernmost island of the archipelago known as the Mariana Islands.
If you are not terribly keen on cities, then Guam may offer the vacation for you, as it does not have any true cities. Guam is instead famed for its beaches, its good hotels and its shopping. The island also has its own unique culture, the largest ethnic group in Guam being the native Chamorro, who are the indigenous people of the Mariana Islands. Due to Spanish influence, Guam is predominantly Roman Catholic, and many saint’s days are celebrated with vibrant festivals.
Guam is popular with divers, as it offers some of the best diving in the world, with dives for all skill levels, wonderful coral reefs, and shipwrecks from both World Wars.
With a temperature that hovers at more or less 27 degrees Celsius throughout the year, Guam is good to visit at just about any time. The humidity is rather high, but this is alleviated by a good sea breeze. There is plenty of rain, and the time to avoid is between July and November when there are most likely to be typhoons.
The small town of Agana is pleasant to explore, and has relaxing parks and historical buildings. Close to Agana, Tumon Bay is the main tourist centre of Guam and has lots of hotels, clubs and restaurants. Nearby Two Lovers Point offers a spectacular view over Tumon Bay, and, as the name suggests, was the point from which a couple supposedly jumped.
Guam has a number of budget hotels, and if you shop around there are reasonably priced deals available which include flights, transfers, accommodation and some meals.
